Blood Becomes Dedicated Tanking Tree. Blood and Frost Presence are swapping DPS in Frost Presence Tank in Blood Presence.

New Rune System: For the DKs who haven't read up on it. You will only be regenerating one rune of each type at a time once that one is full you will regen the next one. Basically saying is that You use Both frost runes one regenerates while the other stays static until the first one is fully active.
With the dropping of some skills to one rune and the increase in damage of abilities we will hit bigger numbers on our attacks but at a slower rate making us more like a Spellcasting melee class with bigger numbers supporting our DPS Compared to a lot of faster smaller numbers.

DK Runeforging: No New Runes have been included. Biggest Change the Runeforges that forged Defense onto your weapon now increase your Armor by 4% for 2-handers and 2 % on one-handers the Stamina boosts are still the same.

General DK Changes: Spells are generally getting a Damage Increase to work with the new Rune System. Anti-Magic Shell will no longer grant Runic Power unless specced in Unholy Tree.

DK Tanking:
DKs and Priests made a deal it seems with Cataclysm. We taught them Death Grip they taught us Power World Shield. Everytime we heal ourselves through Death Strike we can a Damage absorbing shield that starts at 50% what we healed and increasing by 6.25% for every point of mastery we have.

Since no one really has much in the means of Number Crunched ideas for this patch I went through and figured out what would give the most survivability to the DK class as a tank and tossed around some ideas for glyphs at the present time.

DK DPS:

At this Point and time 2 DPS trees and 3 ways they want us to DPS. 1 Way expected to be nerfed.

DW-Frost:
As right now Frost tree with dual wielding relies on quicker attacks to match up to the number of the big 2-handers. Mainly Physical Damage built you have abilities in the tree to increase the damage you output on enemies.

2-hand Frost:
Big Reliance on here is to build up runic Power faster to unlease more Frost strikes since you will be swinging slower you won't proc killing machines as much as DWing but you make up for it with runic power generation to launch more frost strikes.

Frost Commonalities:
Your going to swing faster than unholy DPS and your mastery increase frost damage you deal which means building Mastery will build up the damage abilities like Icy Touch and Frost Strike do.

2-hand Unholy:

more disease which make Heavier strikes which are already stronger since you gain a 15% increase in your strength from the get go. You have a Ghoul that instead of Hasting when you use death coil you give your ghoul a Shadow Infusion buff that stacks to 5 times after 5 stacks you can use Dark Transformation to change him into an Undead Monstrosity with increased Damage and new Attacks. Add in the Gargoyle and you have an onslaught of an unholy army.

DW-Unholy:
All the basis of the 2-hand unholy but with the increased Strength from unholy and the Talent from the Frost Tree making DW unholy ridiculously good that you should see it nerfed or patched rather quickly.

Unholy Commonalities: You rely on your pets and diseases to help increase your damage in all forms. As of now still DPSing in the Frost Presence to increase weapon damage and runic power generation.
